PAC Meeting March 9th
Our next PAC meeting is Wednesday, March 9th. The meeting starts at 7pm, social time starts at 6:45pm. Our new school board liaison, Lois Boone, will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and discuss our school, and will take place early in the meeting. We strongly encourage parents to attend. Childcare will be available.

Family Beach Party Dance
There will be a family dance on Friday, March 11th. Students and their families are invited to come out and enjoy prizes, light show, smoke machine, limbo & hula hoop contest, concession, pizza and a beach theme photo booth! Tickets are $3 per person or $10 per family. Children are required to be accompanied by an adult. Parents and students are encouraged to dress in beach wear — so shorts, sundresses, and sandals are appropriate. However, students should not come in bathing suits, unless properly covered for the school setting.

Next Year’s PAC
There are only a few short months until the end of the school year. Elections for the PAC executive will be held in June – if you have any interest in running, this may be a good time to talk to current members to find out more.

Support the School with Purdy’s

Winter Raffle
We would like to thank everyone for the great support for our winter raffle – thank you for to the parents and children who participated in selling (and buying) tickets, and thank you to the people who donated rather than sell raffle tickets. We have a net profit of about $11,000. Congratulations to Gary Allbee for winning the trip to 4 to Vancouver and to Isabelle (Mrs Hyland’s class) for winning the student prize!

Safety Reporting Form
The school and PAC safety committee are currently gathering data as part of safety planning for the upcoming school year. With this in mind, parents can support the process by reporting concerns on the school grounds, or with respect to traffic and parking. Forms will be available in the office to help parents submit concerns in writing that could result in injury. Your support and assistance is appreciated. Parents and community members can also email any concerns to or
