The BC Coalition of Parent Advisory Councils held its AGM and a 2 day conference at the end of April in Richmond. Two parents from Prince George were sent by our District Parent Advisory Council, and have made a presentation on the valuable and informative sessions, meetings with the Minister of Education, and on the AGM.

One short session was on student worker safety, and the presenter was Jessica Kruger. Jessica was 15 years old when she had a summer job as a house painter, fell off a ladder, and was paralyzed. She is now working towards representing Canada at Olympics for wheelchair rugby, as well as attending SFU, and had some very valuable things to say about prevention and education for students.
