PAC Executive Elections Thursday

The PAC meeting has been changed to Thursday, June 9th, at 6:45pm, in order not to conflict with the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Starting at 6:30pm, we will have supervised fun activities and snacks for children of parents attending the meeting. The movie Gnomeo and Juliet will be played, to start about 6:45pm, and popcorn and drinks will be provided.

What is the Parent Advisory Council (PAC)?

The purpose of the Council is to support, encourage, and improve the education and well being of students, encourage parent involvement in the school, and promote cooperation between the school, homes, and the community. Every parent (or guardian) of a student registered at Heather Park has a vote and a voice in the PAC. Parents have the legislated right, through the PAC, to give advice to the staff, school and school board. Whether you’re interested in running for a position on the executive of the PAC, or in simply casting your vote, we encourage parents to attend the elections so that the executive has the mandate of as many parents as possible.
