Welcome to Joanne Shaw, our new Vice Principal

Joanne Shaw is the new Vice-Principal of École Heather Park Elementary. She is excited to begin this, her first administrative position, after teaching and counseling for 22 years in elementary and secondary schools, and most recently, in adult education.
Born and raised in Vanderhoof, Joanne went on to study in Victoria, Vancouver, and the south of France. She started her teaching career in Maple Ridge, BC, and then moved back north 20 years ago to settle in Prince George and work for School District #57.
Joanne has been married to Matt Shaw for 26 years and their 12-year-old son, Jon, attends Heritage Elementary. In her spare time she loves to spend time in nature, jog, play music, read, and quilt. She also currently serves on the Prince George Public Library Board and sings in the Northern Voices choir when time permits.
Madame Shaw looks forward to meeting and getting to know all the staff, students, and parents at Heather Park this year!
