This will be the meeting when we elect our new executive for next year. We will be electing people to the following positions:

  • Secretary
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Communications Coordinator

At the special PAC meeting on Tuesday May 1, the PAC voted to purchase the Little Shippy playground, and install it on pea gravel in the busloop to the north west of the existing playground. This option does not provide a wheelchair accessible play area for the school. The PAC was concerned that the primary play area inside of the busloop is too constrained by the slope and size of the area to create a fully accessible play option.

There was strong support for creating an accessible playground, but the topography of the school grounds makes it very difficult to find an appropriate location. At the special meeting, the PAC also formed a working group to find a location and plan for a fully accessible playground to be installed in the future. The working group is also charged with exploring other funding options such as accessibility grants and community partners.
