Volunteers Needed for Sports Day
We are looking for volunteers to help out at Sports Day on June 14 for one hour shifts at either 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, or 1-2.

The volunteers will be serving coffee & timbits, handing out the Subway lunch and freezies to students, running a concession and face painting.

Sports Day Criminal Record Checks
We have two RCMP volunteers who will collect criminal record check paperwork from 8:30-11 on Sports Day in the school lobby. Please bring your drivers license.

Subway Lunch
Subway lunch order forms for Sports Day will be handed out to the classes on Thursday June 7. K’s & 1’s will be taking the forms home, but Grades 2-7 will be completing the forms in class.

Students will be getting a complementary 6″sub, juice box and cookie courtesy of the PAC.

Lost and Found
Lost and found items will be on display until June 15 so please come in and check it out as soon as possible.

General PAC Meeting
The next general PAC meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at 7 pm in the computer room beside the library.

Childcare will be available and all parents and guardians of students enrolled in Heather Park, including parents of Strong Start students, are encouraged to attend. This is your opportunity to get involved with your school community.

We will be electing people to the executive positions at this meeting:

  • Chair
  • Vice-Chair
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Communications Coordinator

FoodSafe Course
DPAC is hosting a FoodSafe course for PAC volunteers on Saturday, June 16 from 7:45 am to 5 pm, at the Van Bien Training Centre.

Playground
The playground enhancement project has now been approved by the School Board so construction should be completed by September.
