Both the school and the PAC newsletters for October 3 have been published.  As part of the school’s green initiative, these will be the last paper versions widely distributed.  The school newsletter can be found in pdf version on the school website here.  The PAC newsletter is available in pdf here.

Final Paper Newsletter

In keeping with the “green” initiative being undertaken by the school, this will be the final paper newsletter from the PAC. Future newsletters will only be available in electronic format from the PAC website If you want to be added to our email distribution go to the PAC website and enter your email address under “Get Updates by Email” on the right.

Pizza Day – Friday October 14

The first pizza day will be for Intermediate students on Friday October 14. We will not be doing pre-orders so students should bring $2 on that day to buy a slice of pizza. Parent volunteers will be collecting the money when the pizza is distributed.

Campbell’s Soup Labels

Please drop off your Campbell’s soup labels, making sure to include any UPC codes, for the Campbell’s fundraising program. There is a bin for the labels in the lobby by the office.

Support the School with Pizza

Domino Pizza’s has an ongoing fundraising program. Code 307512 can be used to get 1 medium 3 topping pizza and any bread side for $13.99 (+HST & delivery fee), and Domino’s Pizza will donate $2.50 to our fundraising account. Code 327612 can be used to get 2 medium 3 topping pizzas and any bread side for $23.99 (+HST & delivery fee), and Domino’s Pizza will donate $5.00 to our account.

Gaming Grants

PAC gaming grants were announced by the government in mid-September, and PACs who applied should be receiving $20 per student registered on September 30, 2011. For Heather Park that should total almost $12,000.

School Trustee Elections

The School District Trustee Elections will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2011. There will be 7 Trustee positions available and the term of office will be for 3 years. Trustee Nomination Packages are currently available. Completed nomination packages will be accepted at the School District Office after October 4, 2011 until October 14, 2011 at 4pm.
